Make Your Own Natural Toothpaste

I have been experimenting with making several different types of natural toothpastes.  I have bought a few of the so called “natural” toothpastes as well but am having just as much success with making my own, plus it is a lot easier on the pocket book.

Here is one made with probiotics:

1/4 cup coconut oil
3 Teaspoons bentonite clay (yes, the kind you can also use on your face)
2 capsules of live probiotics
10 drops peppermint essential oil

Mix all ingredients together
Put into a rubber tube or a sealed glass container (I use a baby jar)
Brush teeth 2 minutes 2x3 daily.

Here is another recipe worth trying:

6 Tablespoons baking soda
2 Tablespoon warm coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
10 drops of a mint essential oil

Mix all ingredients till a creamy paste is obtained.  Then put into a small glass container.

I have been going back and forth using both of them for a couple of months now and am quite pleased with the results. Now, the cool thing about either of these toothpastes, is that they get your teeth whiter which is great.  If you try either one of these, let me know how you like them.
